Membership Renewal

FAQs

Will I have to go through the application process again?
In short, no. As a renewing member, you will not have to go through the application process again. However, if you have not renewed your membership by making a new dues payment after three (3) years, your membership will be considered lapsed, and you will need to resubmit a new application for membership.

What are the benefits of membership?
WOCA members have access to an expanding network of colleagues across the country and around the world, alongside access to thoughtfully curated programs like our Leadership Through Mentorship Initiative and Women's Leadership Forum. Members also receive access to WOCA's career platform, The Pipeline, which distributes weekly job opportunities. WOCA members can also post job openings on The Pipeline at a discounted rate. Additionally, members often receive discounts and complimentary registrations and admissions from our organizational partners for programs, events, and professional development. More importantly, WOCA members get to be a part of a movement, building a more equitable field - and world.

Can membership dues be broken into monthly payments?
Yes! Please contact us directly at membership@womenofcolorinthearts.org if you would like to set up a monthly payment plan for your dues.

Does WOCA offer any relief or provide assistance for those that can not pay membership dues?
Of course! We recognize these pandemics are ongoing and have impacted women of color in a disproportionately adverse way. We also recognize that many in our community are on fixed incomes due to the way our society undervalues the labor of women of color. We never want financial barriers to prevent someone from joining WOCA and accessing the wealth of our community, and especially not during times of economic instability and/or job insecurity. Please feel free to contact us at membership@womenofcolorinthearts.org to activate this option.

I would like to support WOCA above the suggested amount for my membership tier. How does that work?
Yes! For those interested in supporting WOCA above and beyond the membership requirements, please know that every contribution goes towards the development of our programs and the sustainability of this network. We truly appreciate your investment in this work. Please CLICK HERE to make a tax-deductible charitable contribution to WOCA. You can choose to support either by a one-time annual donation (beyond the suggested membership fee) or through a convenient monthly payment. Know that any amount beyond your annual membership dues is deeply appreciated and directly impacts the administration and programs of our organization.

Please note that if you work for an employer with a matching gift program, that is also an easy way to leverage your support of WOCA.

Please note that if you have NOT submitted a WOCA membership application via Submittable, our online application platform, within the past five (5) years, you will need to apply for WOCA membership.
